I'm sitting at home, trying to recover from the wouldn't-want-to-recover headache.
I've missed a lot for the past few days.
I'm supposed to go out with my friends who apparently won't be coming back to the uni for it was the last semester for them. And I congratulate them! (for being able to finish on time).
I was also supposed to go to Azian's place with Nuwul but I just couldn't get up much.
I tried taking pain killers but they didn't even have the slightest effect.
Or is it just because this brain is lagging. o_o If there's such thing, probably it is.
Texted Diana for advice and she said it might be sinusitis or rhinitis and Nuwul said kenak ujan rintis-rintis. Haha.
Until now, I have no slight idea what it was. But but but, its better now!
Yesterday, I pulled myself out of the bed and figured that attending Aikido might help me bits - to recover.
Addruse said I need to sweat a bit.
Just been through a lot for finals and the faculty.
Heck, things got really hectic when it comes towards the end of the semester (and not done yet). And so, I went off for Aikido and there were only about 7 persons came. I had to play with Sensei Sula (scary but there were no girls at all) but it was all good. Addruse picked me up at 510pm and we went directly home.
When I reached home, I remembered that Nuwul once said, Ab came to her house to make her honey lemon and I said to myself, why not just try it.
But before I did that, I boiled the water to the max and steamed myself up with droplets of axe oil. Urgh, it wasn't pretty but I was kind of lucky that dad was there.
He told me to inhale through the nostrils 3 times and the mouth 3 times and done. I was like 'eh? ya ajak?' because I filled up half of the basin with hot boiling water and that's it?
The water was still hot so, I just pampered myself by steaming my face and part of my body with it.
Uh, I can tell you that it felt so much better, with the minty feeling.
You guys should try that. But do not pour too much axe oil in the basin.
I wasted quite a lot. More that 5 drops. Uff.
Right after that, I made myself hot honey lemon.
Wait..It wasn't hot honey lemon.
Dad told me I should not take honey and lemon together because of our temperature.
Somehow it makes sense.
People in the Western countries take honey and lemon together because they have lower humidity and the weather is cold most of the time.
He told me to mix the lemon with salt, and not sugar.
Never mix with sugar if you're coughing.
Honey is suppose to make you warmer, just like wine and it suits for mother in labour but not fever. *shrugs*.
Refreshing, though. I still cough and I told mom that the axe oil thingy doesn't work for me and she said "ah, you did it the wrong way. You should cover yourself with the blanket and sweat like a pig (literally)". Orang tua lamak marek pun method lain kali nak oh..
From my research (well from reading actually), when you have a fever, you should not sweat yourself to death. Take a good relaxing shower and get into a cold air-conditioned room.
That will help to lower the temperature down. Sounds logic to me, really.
Because if your temperature gets really high, you might be soaked in iced water. (that's what they showed in tv).
Ngahaaaa. Well, what I did was, I took my shower, I washed my hair and I feel like a brand new me. (cam best jak ayat ya..)
I didn't feel like staying at home because I know what might happen last night with Manjul and his..problems. He gets really sullen when the wedding gets nearer.
I'll rant about that later..once I feel like I should.
So, I went to watch Robin Hood. OH! I tell youuuuu, it's one great movie.
I can tell you this much.. You need to watch it! =D
i think..ur headaches' due to strain to the shoulder n neck.. like me! had headhaches for weeks since the ugly course fin. but that's me la..
ReplyDeletehowever....it's true though. you have to sewat like a pig in order to get better faster. my lecturer in uni told us that when you sweat, then the body temperature will go up and kill the bacterias in ur body :p thus, ta daaaa... cepat baik :) hehe
cold temperature will just made it worse. the bacterias can live in cold temperature... :p science bebeh... i knew there's a reason i took msc in parasitology... miahahah
eh eh... *sweat
ReplyDeletetypo.....
